The Ministry of Economy and Tourism is the federal ministry of the UAE Government responsible for economic policy at the federal level and for developing and coordinating the national tourism strategy. Its remit includes domestic economic policy, consumer protection, intellectual property administration and SME development, and it leads federal tourism coordination through the Emirates Tourism Council. The Ministry drives the UAE's flagship national economic agendas — including the UAE 50 Economic Plan, aligned with the UAE Centennial 2071 goals — to grow the national economy, strengthen the position of UAE companies globally and provide investors with access to markets worldwide. It is led by H.E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism.
